Darling Heights man charged after drug bust

Police have charged a 46-year-old man with multiple drug offences following the discovery of more than 8kg of cannabis at a Darling Heights property.

Darling Downs District Tactical Crime Squad were executing a search warrant at a West Street property at 2.30pm yesterday when officers saw a drug deal taking place.

The crime squad officers arrested a man, charging him with one count of possessing dangerous drugs.

A search of the property led to the location of 77 individual bags of cannabis totalling 8.65kg hidden in a garbage bin.

A Darling Heights man has been charged with three counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, producing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils and possess anything for use in the commission of a crime.

Investigations continue.
