What’s Happening?

Aldi will officially open at Hooper Centre Shopping Village in Toowoomba on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, at 8.30 am.

The long-awaited arrival of the international supermarket follows extensive planning and preparation by the centre’s owners, Hadley Green Investment Group.

The large-format supermarket will become part of the established shopping village, bringing another grocery shopping option to the Toowoomba community.

Why It Matters?

Aldi’s arrival marks a significant development for Hooper Centre, strengthening its position as a convenient, value-focused shopping destination.

The addition will allow customers to combine their supermarket shopping with visits to established specialty stores and everyday services.

For the centre’s owners, the opening also represents an important milestone in maintaining Hooper Centre’s long-standing connection with local shoppers.

Local Impact

Located at the intersection of Hume and King Streets, Hooper Centre offers Toowoomba residents access to several retailers in one location.

Alongside Aldi, shoppers can visit established businesses including Patton’s Bargain Butcher, Bottlemart, Bakers Delight, Hooper Centre Pharmacy and Bargain Mania.

Together, these stores provide a mix of groceries, fresh food, pharmacy services and other everyday shopping needs.
