Festival founder, Jenny Jenner, emphasises, “All accommodation booked in the Scenic Rim region for the festival weekend will include tickets as a package deal, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.”
A Blossoming Legacy
Born out of heartache, the Kalbar Sunflower Festival has grown into a symbol of resilience and joy.
Initiated by the Jenner family in 2021 during the grips of a severe drought, the festival is now set to dazzle visitors for the fourth consecutive year from April 19 to 21.
Despite facing personal challenges, the Jenners continue to sow the seeds of happiness, having raised over $115,000 for cancer care in the previous editions.
Blooms Beyond Boundaries
Amidst the picturesque landscapes of Kalbar, a million sunflowers will sway in the breeze, creating a haven of sunshine and happiness.
The festival offers a diverse range of accommodation options, including camping, glamping, house and farm stays, Airbnb, cottages, motels, and hotels.
For those seeking an immersive experience, a courtesy bus will be available to transport attendees to and from the festival grounds during the three-day extravaganza.

In the absence of Russell Jenner, the festival’s founder and a beloved figure, the 2024 edition is dedicated to his memory.
Jenny Jenner remains resolute in continuing the legacy, aiming to raise $100,000 for the Mater Cancer Care Centre at Springfield. The festival promises a myriad of events, including sunrise yoga, sunflower art classes, unique dining experiences, photography sessions, flower crown masterclasses, and even helicopter rides above the sunflower fields.
