What’s happening?

Cabarlah residents are being invited to meet with Toowoomba Regional councillors at a Community Conversations event later this month.

The gathering will give locals the chance to share ideas about the future of Cabarlah and nearby areas directly with council representatives.

Mayor Geoff McDonald said councillors wanted to hear from residents, businesses and property owners.

Councillors want to hear directly from residents, property owners and businesses about their ideas for Cabarlah and surrounds,” Cr McDonald said.

He said the event would give locals the opportunity to brainstorm ideas and discuss the future of the district in an open setting.

Council said there would be no set discussion topics, with residents encouraged to raise ideas linked to council matters.

The event will also include a community BBQ and live music from Jeanie Cuskelly & Friends.

Why it matters?

The event gives Cabarlah locals a chance to speak directly with councillors about local priorities and future plans for the area.

It also allows council to hear community ideas and concerns from people living and working in the district.

Local Impact

Residents from Cabarlah and surrounding communities will be able to gather at the local hall for an evening focused on local ideas and community discussion.

The BBQ will be provided by the Lions Club of Highfields North Eastern Downs and QCWA.
