What’s happening?
Grand Central is hosting a Seniors Expo on Wednesday, 23 October, and Thursday, 24 October 2024, at Centre Court on Level 1. The event will feature a variety of providers focusing on aged care, health services, and community connection. Older Queenslanders will have the opportunity to connect with local groups supporting them, all within the heart of Grand Central.
Why it Matters?
Centre Manager Tracey Ford highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for seniors to engage with their community:
“We want to make sure that Grand Central is providing opportunities to all of our community members, and the older members of our community are able to do just that at our Seniors Expo,” she said.
The expo ensures older members of the community can stay informed and connected, accessing essential services in a welcoming environment.

“And don’t forget Grand Central also provides Seniors Parking, Mobility Scooter Hire, and a Hearing Loop service which can be accessed at the Customer Service Desk!” Ms Ford reminded attendees.
Local Impact
Grand Central’s Seniors Expo continues to strengthen ties between seniors and the local community. By connecting older adults with health services, aged care providers, and retailers, the expo helps seniors access the resources they need to thrive.
