The Queensland Police’s Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash at Neumgna, north of Toowoomba, this morning (Wednesday, May 1).

Serious Consequences for Passengers

Initial information indicates that around 8:31am, a Mitsubishi Eclipse was travelling southbound on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road before it left the roadway and went down an embankment.

The driver of the vehicle, a 72-year-old Kingaroy man, was declared dead at the scene.

Two passengers, a 68-year-old Kingaroy woman and a 43-year-old Highgate Hill man, both sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

Appeals for Witnesses

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or who has relevant vision, to contact police.
