Toowoomba Grammar School is set to receive $750,000 to upgrade its bus drop-off areas courtesy of the State Government.
Toowoomba Grammar was this week named one of 10 Queensland independent school to benefit form $12 million in grants to build new facilities or upgrade existing infrastructure.
Minister for Education John-Paul Langbroek said the funds would support a range of infrastructure needs at the schools.
“All Queensland school students deserve a world-class education system and the Crisafulli Government is proud of this funding announcement,” Minister Langbroek said.
“This investment for critical infrastructure projects will enable these schools to be better positioned to support their students in the classroom and the playground.”
Under the planned works at the East Toowoomba school, the bus set down area at Herries Street will be upgrades, a pedestrian crossing controlled by traffic signals will be designed and built, and the road furniture and markings updated.
The funds will also cover the construction of pedestrian crossing and footpaths at Suffolk Street, near the school.

Once again private schools collect all the money, and the public schools get absolutely nothing. I love the way this government thinks.
What do you mean. Public schools are 100% funded by the state govt. Where do you think their funding comes from?
