Fitness Cartel Health Clubs will officially open its Toowoomba Super Club on Thursday, 20 August 2026.
The club occupies the former Action Indoor Sports Centre at 29 Spencer Street, Harristown, and will serve the Darling Downs. It combines fitness, recovery, group exercise, indoor sport, childcare and lifestyle amenities under one roof.
Fitness Cartel says this premium fitness experience is more commonly available in major metropolitan areas.
Why It Matters?
The opening continues Fitness Cartel’s investment in regional Queensland and broadens local access to training, recovery and wellbeing services. It caters to first-time gym members, families, regular users and high-performance athletes.
Community demand has already sold out Stages One and Two of foundation memberships. The final foundation rates remain available, although Fitness Cartel says they are running out quickly.
Local Impact
Fitness Cartel says the development creates more than 80 local jobs, although its supporting fact sheet lists 45 new positions.
Beyond employment, the venue brings training, recovery, childcare and social facilities together for the wider community. On-site childcare supports parents, while indoor courts give members more ways to stay active.

The dedicated Wellness and Recovery Centre uses magnesium-rich water across its hot spas and cold plunge pools. The spas will operate at 32°C and 38°C, while the plunges will run at 6°C and 12°C.
A traditional sauna and compression therapy provide further recovery options.
Indoor sport facilities include a pickleball court and a half basketball court. The site also contains a Super Crèche, café, members’ lounge, nutrition and pro shop.
Luxury bathrooms and a dedicated pamper room complete the member amenities.

Toowoomba is Fitness Cartel’s 19th location across Australia and New Zealand. The independently owned company aims to expand to 60 clubs by 2030.

What To Look For Next?
