Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to question as part of an investigation into an alleged assault in Plainland last month.

At about 7.15pm on Monday, February 17, a 17-year-old boy was entering a supermarket on Gehrke Road when he walked past a man and a woman exiting the store.

A short time later the man accompanied by the woman re-entered the store and approached the 17-year-old in an aisle.

It is alleged a confrontation took place with the man allegedly assaulting the 17-year-old boy, striking him in the face before he and the woman left the store.

The 17-year-old received minor injuries.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall with a shaven head and rats’ tail, and tattoos on his right arm and head and was wearing a black shirt, black pants and light-coloured work boots.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or are able to identify the man to contact them.
