Local Employers Needed to Help Shape Meaningful Career Pathways

MIGAS Apprentices & Trainees is calling on local employers in Toowoomba to play a vital role in the next intake of the First Nations Futures: Employment Pathways Program, commencing in April 2025.

This unique program is designed to empower unemployed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by equipping them with industry-relevant training, nationally recognised qualifications, and the confidence to take their first step into the workforce. MIGAS is now seeking employers who are committed to providing work experience and employment opportunities for these motivated job seekers.

Participants complete a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations (TLI20421) and gain essential industry tickets, including a White Card, Forklift Licence, and Elevated Work Platform training. More than just job-ready, they are supported throughout the program by experienced First Nations mentors from Mandana and Sarina Russo Group, ensuring they are well-prepared for the workplace.

“We’re inviting employers to be part of something genuinely impactful. By hosting a participant, you’re not only helping shape someone’s future – you’re strengthening your own workforce with committed, supported, and motivated talent.”
– Raleigh Wallace, National Placements and Programs Manager, MIGAS

Employers who partner with MIGAS receive comprehensive support throughout the process, including candidate matching, mentoring assistance, and post-placement follow-up. There is no cost to employers for offering placements, and the impact can be transformative for both participant and business alike.

If your organisation is ready to make a difference and benefit from a fresh pool of emerging talent, we invite you to partner with us today.
