Youth bursary

What’s happening?

The Empire Foundation has honoured 37 young performers from across the region, awarding more than $26,000 in Youth Bursaries at a ceremony held today at The Empire’s Armitage Centre. The annual program supports emerging artists in developing their craft across music, theatre, dance, and film.

Why it matters

The bursaries give young performers the opportunity to train at leading institutions, helping them refine their skills and build connections that could shape their careers. The program underscores the Foundation’s ongoing investment in local creative talent and the future of the performing arts.

The Empire Foundation continues to play a vital role in Toowoomba’s cultural life, empowering young creatives to access world-class training without leaving the region’s support network.
