Toowoomba, Dec. 20 – In a joint effort to cultivate the professional growth of young individuals in the region, the Toowoomba Chamber and Regional Development Australia – Darling Downs and South West are urging local businesses to invest in the youth by providing them with various engagement opportunities.

Partnership and Opportunities for the Youth

These opportunities include casual conversations, business work experiences, desk shadowing, mock interviews, work placements, mentoring, and more.

The newly launched youth program specifically targets individuals aged 16 to 24, aiming to assist them in making informed career choices and exploring employment prospects within the region.

The program seeks to bridge the gap between local businesses and the younger demographic, fostering connections and creating pathways to future success.

Funding and Proponent of the Program

It’s worth noting that this impactful program has received funding and support from the Queensland Government through the Workforce Connect Fund, spearheaded by the Honourable Di Farmer.

Employers eager to contribute to the initiative are invited to participate by filling out a brief form, expressing their interest in connecting with and inspiring young talents.

The form can be accessed by visiting the link.
