Toowoomba, Feb. 4, 2024 – Toowoomba Regional Council is currently accepting applications for its latest community grant cycle, providing an opportunity for community and not-for-profit groups to seek funding for their projects or events.

Toowoomba Council Welcomes Community Grant Applications

The Toowoomba Regional Council has officially opened the application process for its upcoming community grants cycle, encouraging community and not-for-profit groups to seek funding for their projects or events.

The deadline for online submissions is set for March 1, 2024.

Categories for the funding program.

  • Sport and Recreation,
  • Event Support,
  • Community Support,
  • Community Economic Development
  • Environment,
  • Cultural and Arts Support, and
  • Youth Support grants

Additionally, applications for Sports Tourism grants will be accepted throughout the calendar year or until the allocated budget is exhausted.

Community Economic Development grants offer funding of up to $5,000 (or up to $10,000 per applicant with matched funding in some cases). These grants aim to support community organisations in implementing programs that foster local business growth and benefit the broader area.

The Toowoomba Regional Council is committed to backing Chambers of Commerce, Progress Associations, and other qualifying not-for-profit groups that align with the selection criteria.
