What’s happening?
A Toowoomba mum has won a life-changing $1,825,767.92 division one prize in a Saturday lottery draw.
The Darling Downs resident held one of 11 division one winning entries nationally drawn on Saturday, 20 June 2026. Her winning System 8 entry was bought online through the official lottery website.
The Queensland mum said the prize had arrived after a difficult time for her and her children. She now hopes her run of bad luck is behind her, with the money set to bring much-needed relief and hope for the future.
Why it matters?
For the Toowoomba family, the win is more than a major prize. It arrives at a time when the family needed help, giving them space to breathe after a tough period.
“You’re making me nervous. I’m driving right now but I’ll pull over,” she said when an official called with the news.
“Oh my! I’m starting to cry! I’m sorry, but you’ve got no idea how much this means to me.
“Honestly, I never play Lotto, but I saw there was a $20 million prize on offer, and I thought I’d give it a crack.
“It’s been a really tough time for my children and I and this will really help us out.
“I can’t believe it! Thank you so much.”
Local Impact
The win adds another major prize to the Darling Downs and Southwest region, where lottery players have already had a strong year.
So far in 2026, the region has recorded three major lottery wins, with local winners sharing more than $3.8 million in prize money.
There is also an unclaimed division one prize in the region. Lottery officials are urging people to check old tickets after a $774,826.59 winning entry was bought at a newsagency in Shop 7-8, Gatton Plaza, Gatton.
That prize must be claimed before the 6 July 2026 deadline.
By The Numbers
- The winning numbers in draw 4687 were 22, 14, 6, 21, 9 and 3. The supplementary numbers were 38 and 20.
- Across Australia, the draw produced 11 division one winners. Four were in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Victoria, and one each in Queensland and South Australia.
- The national division one winning tally has reached 188 so far this calendar year, including 44 won by Queensland lottery customers.
Zoom In
The Toowoomba mum said she rarely entered lottery draws, but decided to buy an entry after seeing a $20 million prize on offer.
That decision changed her family’s week.
Her reaction showed the emotional weight of the win, with tears coming as the prize was confirmed. For her, the money means support for her children and a chance to move forward after a difficult stretch.
Zoom Out
The win comes as official lotteries continue to deliver major prizes across Australia.
In 2025, more than 121.6 million winners took home more than $3.93 billion in prize money from official lottery games.
Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.66 billion through state lottery taxes and donations. Those funds helped support community initiatives, including hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
What To Look For Next?
The Toowoomba winner can now begin planning how the prize will help her family in the months ahead.
For the wider region, the next important date is 6 July 2026, when the unclaimed Gatton division one prize reaches its claim deadline.
There are also two major national draws this week, with $20 million on offer on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, and $40 million on Thursday, 25 June 2026.
