What’s Happening?
Toowoomba Regional Council is inviting residents to nominate outstanding community achievers for the 2027 Toowoomba Region Australia Day Awards.
Nominations close on 31 October 2026, giving residents an opportunity to recognise people, community groups and events that contribute across the region.
Why It Matters
TRC Australia Day Coordinating Working Group Chair Cr James O’Shea said hundreds of residents devote their time and expertise to organisations, programs and events across the region.
“Our community is greatly enriched by the dedication and community spirit of these individuals, whose efforts help create stronger, more connected and vibrant communities across the Region.”
Cr O’Shea encouraged residents to recognise people whose work benefits their communities.
“Taking a few minutes to complete an online nomination form is a way to honour someone who selflessly contributes to the fabric of our towns, our city and our Region.”
Local Impact
The awards allow Toowoomba Region residents to recognise people who inspire others, bring communities together or make a positive difference.
Residents can also nominate community groups and events for their contributions across the region.
