The prestige property market in Toowoomba is surging with buyer being attracted to the region because of the lifestyle the city offers.
Director of valuer Herron Todd White Toowoomba, Marissa Griffin says the number of $2 million sales in the region had jumped in the past four years.
“Over the12 months to October 2025, more than 30 properties within a 25-kilometre radius of the 4350 postcode have sold above the $2 million mark, including several outstanding rural residential lifestyle properties,’’ Ms Griffin wrote in the company’s Month in Review for November.
“This sustained demand has contributed to a continued uplift in median property prices across a number of Toowoomba’s surrounding localities.”
Ms Griffin said the highest recorded sale within the Toowoomba region in 2025 was an acreage property located at 601 Allen Road, Ramsay, about 30km from the Toowoomba CBD.
The property, named Stanton, was sold for $6.15 million in June 2025.
“Constructed in 2015, the residence offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a double built-in garage, encompassing approximately 400 square metres of main living area,’’ she said.
“The home is complemented by extensive ancillary improvements and set on an impressive 129.4-hectare holding featuring fertile alluvial chocolate soils. “
The second-highest sale recorded in the Toowoomba region was a modern prestige residence located at 69 Penny Road, Highfields, about 15km north of the Toowoomba CBD.
The modern property sold for $4.57 million in June 2025, highlighting the continued strength of the Highfields market.
“Completed in 2024, the home comprises five bedrooms, four bathrooms and multiple expansive living areas across an impressive 569 square metres of floor area,’’ Ms Griffin said.
“Positioned on a 1.84-hectare allotment, the property showcases high-quality fixtures and finishes throughout, complemented by a swimming pool and extensive ancillary improvements, including several detached sheds.”
Ms Griffin said the recent sale of 11 Curzon Street, Mount Lofty, underscored the ongoing strength of Toowoomba’s prestige property market.
“This charming circa 1900 residence, offering limited range-side views, last sold in April 2023 for $2.28 million and resold in February 2025 for $3.05 million, reflecting strong capital growth within this tightly held locality,’’ she said.
“The home provides four bedrooms and three bathrooms, together with a detached four-car garage, encompassing approximately 253 square metres of main living area.”
The highest-priced unit sale recorded in the Toowoomba region during the past 12 months was Unit 103, 2-4 Herries Street, East Toowoomba, which sold for $1.7 million in December 2024.
