The “Not Now, Not Ever. Together.” pledge, aimed at combatting inequality and domestic and family violence, was signed by TRC Councillors and CEO Brian Pidgeon during the December Ordinary Meeting.

The commitment outlined in the pledge signifies TRC’s dedication to fostering a Queensland where equality prevails, and individuals are free from the grip of violence.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Geoff McDonald emphasised the united front of the Council in championing this cause, with a pledge to actively contribute to the realisation of this ambitious goal within the community.

Mayor McDonald stated, This pledge commits Council to playing our role as leaders across the community and working wherever possible to raise awareness of inequality and all forms of domestic and family violence.”

Highlighting the Council’s determination to combat violence in all its forms, Mayor McDonald asserted that Councillors and the organisation would collaborate with various community groups to enhance awareness, bolster prevention efforts, and extend practical assistance in the collective effort to eradicate domestic and family violence.
