Ventia Services Group, which employs around 800 people in Toowoomba and the Surat Basin, has won a one year, $107 million extension of its Defence Maintenance Contract with the Department of Defence.
The extension will start December 1, 2028, with options to extend for a further four years.
Under the contract, Ventia delivers large-scale support for Defence, covering the repair and maintenance of some of Australia’s most advanced equipment, including tanks, and surveillance systems.
The contract includes the delivery of services to the Oakey and Cabarlah Defence Bases in the Toowoomba region.
Ventia Services Group Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer Dean Banks was thrilled with the extension.

“For more than 36 years, we’ve supported Defence capability, and we remain committed to strengthening this partnership while exploring opportunities to broaden our services to meet the evolving needs of the Australian Defence Force.”
In October last year Ventia announced had a won a $935 million Australian Defence Force contract to provide clothing.
The contract is due to start in May this year for seven years.
